An Introduction

  • Who am I?
    • Just a 28 year old gal hoping to improve her life by holding herself accountable. I live the #cubelife dream working in marketing and loyalty strategy (a job that I sincerely love). I am a homeowner, a wife (to a dreamboat of a hubs), a pup mom (to a 9 y.o. pug and a 3 y.o. chug), a Christian, and a lover of people. I am truly obsessed with the humans and fur babies in my life.
  • What do I love?
    • In addition to the aforementioned beautiful things, I loooove my Book Club (Das Book Club), all things reading, coffee, traveling, and snuggling. Oh and chocolate, and cookies, and ice cream, and...
  • Why am I writing this blog?
    • I'm writing this blog because of all those sweet treats I professed my love for. I am the heaviest I've ever weighed in my lifetime. Its heartbreaking for me to even think about because I spent years post-college taking care of my body and I got into amazing shape. Then I let myself slide and then I slid further and further and further. And now I'm uncomfortable, squishy, embarrassed, and my weight is actually negatively impacting my life. So that means its time to do something. However, I'm someone who needs to be held accountable. I have no idea how I found the willpower in 2009 to get into shape. I spent all of 2014 claiming that I was on a diet and essentially doing nothing about it. That's even more embarrassing to me. Do I not care about myself? I should be ashamed. But shaming myself won't make a difference. Eating right and exercising will. So let's do it. This blog isn't for you, its for me. But I'm grateful to anyone joining me on my journey. This blog will be my accountability log and every reader is helping me maintain my pursuit of my goals.
  • What are my goals?
    • Lose Weight (Get BMI to healthy range; loss of ~25 pounds)
    • Gain Strength
    • Dismantle my sugar addiction
    • Increase Confidence

Thank you for joining me on this journey as I reclaim this body.
